Club source states the allocation Bayer Leverkusen will hand Celtic for vital UEL clash

Celtic have stated that Bayer Leverkusen will give them around 1500 tickets for their Europa League meeting on November 25th.

The 2 sides will meet in Germany in what will be a massive game for both. Leverkusen are looking to confirm their status as group winners, whilst Celtic ideally need a point to give themselves a good chance of qualification to the last-32.

And when answering a fan’s query today on the ticket allocation for the Bay Arena, Celtic’s SLO has said the following:

The Celtic away support haven’t been able to enjoy a proper European trip so far this season. In away games against Midtjylland, Jablonec, AZ Alkmaar, Real Betis, and Ferencvaros respectively, the Hoops haven’t been allowed to have any supporters in the stadiums.

A large contingent of Celtic fans flew to Hungary to help give the team a boost before they took down Ferencvaros at the Groupama Arena.

However, the trip to Leverkusen will be the first time supporters will have entered a European away-day venue since Copenhagen back in February 2020.

Celtic fans deserve a big away day in Leverkusen

It’s great to know that the Celtic supporters will indeed get their big day in Leverkusen. It’s been long overdue since a European venue was graced with the presence of the best support in world football.

You could see just how much just the fans being in Hungary meant to Ange Postecoglou and the Celtic players. The 3-2 win in Ferencvaros was a result for them and nobody else. Those who made the trip can quite rightly feel they played a big part.

But even so, it isn’t the same as actually attending the stadium. Bayer’s beautiful BayArena will be a welcome venture for the lucky 1500 that get to go and support the team.

Celtic have also managed to rack up a fair few treats for supporters in European away games this season too. In our 5 trips in Europe this season, we’ve netted a total of 12 goals. A superb return given our historic issues on our international travels.

Leverkusen have gone through a difficult period since their 4-0 win at Celtic Park back in September. However, they’ve been dominant on the European stage, and that’s something the Hoops will need to be wary of.

At the very least, we know the Bhoys will be backed with a vocal contingent of away supporters.
