Cluj coach Alin Minteuan has revealed that his team will be able to cope should manager Dan Petrescu miss the Europa League tie against Celtic.
Petrescu was unwell and could not make the pre-match press conference. Minteuan admitted that the situation wasn’t ideal. However, he is confident his team can cope if Petrescu can’t make the game at Celtic Park.
“Really hope Dan will be with us”

“We really hope that Dan will be with us starting from tomorrow morning, not afternoon” he said, as reported by the Scottish Sun.
“It is not such a big problem, and we really want him on the bench but if not we will be ready to prepare the team for the match.”
Absence could have impact on team

It will be interesting to see how Petrescu’s absence would affect the game. No matter what Minteuan says, it is bound to upset the rhythm of the Cluj side.
If Neil Lennon had to miss any Celtic game, that would be a problem for the Hoops. The team might not function in the same way without the most important figure to the team at the game.
We shall no doubt find out more nearer kick-off about Petrescu’s availability for the game. It was already going to be a significant night in the battle to make the last 32 of the Europa League. Should Petrescu miss the game, that could tip what looked to be a very close call in Celtic’s favour.
