It wasn’t so long ago that some thought that Ange Postecoglou wasn’t going to last long at Celtic.
Yet, as of Sunday evening, Rangers have parted ways with another manager. This time sacking Michael Beale, to the surprise of nobody.
As you would have imagined, Bhoys legend Chris Sutton was quick to share his thoughts on Twitter.
And the former Celtic star didn’t hold back, with Beale’s final few months ending in disaster, including the defeat to Celtic, not qualifying for the Champions League and the defeat to Aberdeen on Saturday.
Whilst the outspoken pundit didn’t exactly reference or mention Michael Beale’s name, given that his tweet was posted just minutes after Beale’s exit, it’s pretty obvious as to who he was making reference to.
Sky Sports reports that Rangers have put an interim team in charge, led by Steven Davis, and they will remain in the dugout ‘as long as necessary’.

Rangers sack Michael Beale
“There are some managers that are comedy acts…,” said Sutton.
Great opportunity for Celtic
The door is now open for Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic to extend their already-growing lead at the top of the Premiership table.
Following Rangers’ defeat to Aberdeen on Saturday, which proved to be the final straw for Beale, it meant that the gap between the two Glasgow rivals is seven points after seven matches.
Those across the city, who hyped up Beale so much in the summer, especially with Postecoglou leaving, need to focus on trying to overcome second-placed St Mirren because they are proving to be more of a challenge, thus far.
This is an ample chance for the team to extend that lead into double figures.
Yes, this month is going to be gruelling and pretty testing. The two sides are going to be mixed up with some very crucial European games.
But come out of those domestic ties with maximum points, then heading into November and the Christmas period, and things could look even better than they are now.
