Celtic have been drawn away to Alloa Athletic in the Fourth Round of the Scottish Cup tonight.

The draw was made live on BBC Scotland after a 1-1 draw between Brechin City and Darvel, with 16 ties pulled out of the hat.

It sets up an intriguing tie for the Bhoys, with Alloa managed by Rangers legend and former captain Barry Ferguson. They currently compete in Scottish League One, where they sit in 6th position after 15 matches.

Celtic have enough talent to avoid a cup upset, but it was will be one of the most covered ties of the round, with the media unlikely to miss the big narratives.

St Johnstone are the holders of the competition and will be desperate to defend their trophy. They’ve been drawn against Kelty Hearts or Montrose.

Rangers meanwhile have been drawn at home to Stirling Albion and will fancy their chances of making it into the next round.

The ties are due to be played on the weekend of January 22nd, after the winter break for Ange Postecoglou and the Bhoys.

With Celtic already in a national cup final, who’s to say we can’t reach another one on our march for success this season?
