Celtic have named their team to take on Valencia in the Europa League. The team was announced on the Hoops’ official Twitter account.
The big news is that Brendan Rodgers has chosen Jozo Simunovic to partner Dedryck Boyata at the heart of the Hoops defence.

Rodgers had a choice to make between Simunovic and Kristoffer Ajer, and he has chosen the more experienced defender.
The other main story is that two January signings are making their European debuts for the Bhoys. Jeremy Toljan starts at right-back whilst Oliver Burke takes the lone striker role.

Rodgers will be hoping both players keep the good start to their Celtic career going against Valencia.

The rest of the team is as expected. Scott Bain keeps the goalkeepers gloves after six consecutive clean sheets. Importantly, Emilio Izaguirre has returned from injury at left-back.
The Hoops boss has picked a very strong midfield, Scott Brown, Callum McGregor and Ryan Christie will be all important, charged with dictating the game for the Bhoys.
On the wing, the in-form duo of Scott Sinclair and James Forrest will be hoping to keep their run of excellent performances going.
Finally, Celtic fans will be delighted that Odsonne Edouard is on the bench. He could play a key role if the Hoops are looking for a goal in the second-half.
