Rangers defender Connor Goldson has been speaking about Celtic ahead of this weekend’s big derby.
The second-placed Ibrox side visit Celtic Park on Saturday lunchtime knowing that they must win to have any chance of topping the Hoops this season.
Ange Postecoglou‘s men enjoy a nine-point advantage at the top of the Premiership and have avoided defeat in three derby meetings so far this season.

Goldson credited Celtic for our winning run, after bemoaning some glorious dropped points at the start of the season.
He then accidentally stumbled on to the motto that has defined Celtic under Ange.
Speaking to the Herald, he said: “Celtic have had last-minute winners but when you are top of the league you will take anything for three points.
“We are behind and we need to start playing better regularly to keep this run going as long as we can.
“If we go back to when we lost points at the start of the season we had a lot of injuries and the team was all over the place. Since we’ve had a consistent team and consistent squad we’ve gone on a good run.
“We had me, Ben Davies, John Souttar and Fil Helander all injured at the start of the season. We had a tricky period and we came out of it nine points behind. We are still there now which is credit to Celtic.
“They are winning games of football but we are not going to stop. We are going to carry on trying to win as many games as we can and see where that takes us.”
Given that ‘not stopping’ has become the basis for everything good about Celtic under Ange, it’s amusing to see Goldson saying that, even if it was surely an accident.

The narrative around Ibrox seems to be that it was Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s reign that ruined the club’s chances this season.
While there may be some truth in that, the reality is that league titles are handed out over an entire season. And, up to this point, Celtic have been by far the best in Scotland this campaign.
Given the gulf that currently exists between ourselves, Rangers and the rest of the Premiership, these derbies seem to be taking on an even greater meaning recently.
We are seemingly the only team in Scotland capable of beating Rangers.
Let’s hope we see that again on Saturday.
