Celtic may have to move back into the transfer market following an injury to a key man. Neil Lennon has disclosed to the Scottish Sun that Jozo Simunovic will need to see a specialist about his knee injury.
That is a blow for both the player and the club. Perhaps the injury will force the Hoops into a look at the free agent market.
That might be a gamble for the club. However, they may feel that this is the best option to take if Simunovic is going to be out of action for a good while.
Manager could go with players already at club

However, perhaps the Hoops boss will feel that he can go with the players he already has at the club. Christopher Jullien is obviously a player who will feature most weeks for the Hoops.
Kristoffer Ajer and Nir Bitton – who are also currently both on the injury list – are also candidates for the centre-back slot.
There is also the possibility of recent arrival Lee O’Connor playing at the back for the Hoops. Hatem Abd Elhamed slotted in at the back during the 2-0 win over Rangers, he could also be an option.
Situation could depend on severity of injury

Perhaps the situation will depend on the severity of Simunovic’s injury. If he is going to be out of action for any length of time, then perhaps the Hoops will move for a free agent.
Should the injury not be that severe though, then Lennon may be content to go with what the Hoops already have.
It is a real blow for the player more than anything. He had a good chance to establish himself in the Celtic squad this season, perhaps forming a partnership with Jullien.
For the moment though, all thoughts of that will be on the back burner, as Simunovic will be looking to get fit. Hopefully he returns to fitness sooner rather than later.
