Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon has admitted that he will not be pleased if he misses out on Sunday’s Glasgow derby against Rangers.
The Hoops veteran was in goals for the 4-1 win over AIK in the Europa League. However, Fraser Forster got the nod for the recent league game against Hearts.
Gordon is concerned that he will be dropped from the side for the trip to Ibrox. He wants to play in the game.
“The way the games have gone, whatever the answer is come Sunday we’ll all know where we stand” Gordon said, as reported by the Scottish Sun.
“Not going to be happy”

“It’s a difficult situation to have four guys who have all played international football all vying for one position. I want to be in it as much as possible and if I’m not then I’m not going to be happy.”
It is hard to argue with Gordon’s attitude. It is good to see that a player coming towards the end of his career is still so eager to play.
Not a surprise if a goalkeeper leaves before deadline

As Gordon says, having four goalkeepers at the club can’t be easy for the players involved. That is why it would not be surprising to see Conor Hazard leave on loan before the transfer window closes.
Neil Lennon has a big call to make when it comes to selecting the goalkeeper for Ibrox. Forster could well be restored to the starting line-up. Should that be the case, then Gordon may have to be satisfied with a place on the substitute’s bench.
