Daizen Maeda continued his hot streak for Celtic as they saw off Hearts yesterday afternoon.
Maeda hit a brace for Celtic as they beat the Jambos 3-0 in Glasgow while Jota tapped home a goal of his own after his Japanese teammate had cracked the post with a header.
The 27-year-old is surely Celtic’s player of the year after notching his 29th and 30th of the campaign to take his side within a few weeks of winning the Scottish Premiership title.
Maeda did what only six Celts have done in the 21st century and hit the 30 goals milestone and there’s still plenty of football to be played for him to add to his tally.

Daizen has promised Celtic fans a hattrick next
Speaking to Celtic TV after the game alongside league debutant Viljami Sinisalo, Maeda explained how pleased he was to add another double to his stats.
And he promised to bag a hattrick the next time he pulls on the jersey.
Maeda, never one to mince his words, said at full-time: “Yeah, it was an amazing game. I’m happy to score goals.
“Next game, I score a hat-trick, yeah.”
It was a heartwarming moment from the attacker who is clearly enjoying his football and loving life in Glasgow with Celtic.
Still contracted until 2027, Maeda has a bit of time before he really has to start thinking about his future.
Brendan Rodgers wants Maeda to sign new Celtic deal
But manager Brendan Rodgers certainly wants Maeda on a new deal as he confirmed he had already held talks with Dermot Desmond about tying the player down.
“Absolutely, if there is that possibility to do that,” the manager admitted when grilled on Maeda’s deal. “I’ve spoken with Dermot [Desmond] and the club and spoken with the player. Hopefully in the future that is something that can be done.
“He’s been absolutely brilliant for us this season. Wherever he’s played, however he’s played, he’s had an amazing season. So of course you would love to tie up one of your best players.”
