There are plenty of Celtic players who are worth a lot of money.
The obvious standout candidate is Daizen Maeda, who could easily leave for anywhere between £20m-£30m at a push.
Premier League clubs wanted Maeda and in the recent international break, Maeda admitted he was denied the chance to leave.
Despite the interest, he isn’t the most valuable member of the Celtic squad, with one player taking that responsibility.

Arne Engels named the most valuable member of the Celtic squad
It shouldn’t come as too big of a surprise to see that Arne Engels is the most valuable member of the Celtic squad.
Engels is Celtic’s record signing and according to the CIES Football Observatory, the Belgian is worth more than any of his teammates.
Valued between £16.4m-£19m, the 22-year-old’s valuation has increased ever so slightly from the £11m paid for him in 2024.
This hasn’t guaranteed the youngster a place in Brendan Rodgers’ starting XI though. From the four Scottish Premiership games, Engels has only started once.
Arne Engels determined to win place back in the squad
Benjamin Nygren’s impressive start to his Celtic career means that Engels has been reduced to the role of impact sub so far.
He will still get plenty of minutes throughout a busy season but admitted that he hopes to feature more.
Speaking before the Rangers clash, he said: “Of course, you should be disappointed because I think I can add something to the team.
“I’m trying to do my best every time in training and when I’m coming in, trying to affect the game and trying to do my best.”
