Daniel Arzani was pictured in Celtic training on Christmas Eve as the club shared some happy snaps of practice ahead of a busy week.
Neil Lennon’s men will train today and tomorrow before taking on St. Mirren on Boxing Day, with a derby against Rangers closing out 2019 just three days later.
But the pressure doesn’t seem to be affecting the squad too much if the training snaps posted by the club’s official Twitter account are anything to go by.

Arzani was targeting St. Mirren return according to report
Eagle eyed supporters may have spotted Australian attacker Daniel Arzani in two of the photos. He is seen in one joking around with fellow youngster Mikey Johnston, while in another he’s in the background behind Jeremie Frimpong.
The images are a reminder that Arzani is still at the club, and very much part of the squad. The Brendan Rodgers loan signing hasn’t featured for the club since Halloween of last year, when he ruptured his ACL in a win over Dundee.
It’s been a long road back to full fitness for Arzani but there was a glimmer of hope for his Celtic career not so long ago when a report emerged that indicated we were keen to extend his loan deal.
Aussie outlet The World Game said that we were keen to add another year to his loan deal, which is up at the end of the season, after Neil Lennon was impressed with what he had seen in training.
Funnily enough, the report from November also mentioned Thursday’s game in Paisley as a big moment for Arzani.
The report said: “The 2018 FIFA World Cup bolter is targeting the Boxing Day clash at St Mirren as his comeback match, after suffering a bout of patella tendonitis on his operated left knee.”
So can be put that report and Celtic’s fresh images of Arzani together and come to the conclusion that an appearance in Paisley is on the cards? Given that he hasn’t made the matchday squad all season, probably not. But you never know.
