Celtic’s Daniel Arzani has only played one first-team game for the club since arriving on a two-year loan deal from Manchester City.

Unfortunately, he suffered a season ending knee injury in the game, a 4-0 win over Dundee last October. However, according to a report from Australian football site The World Game, the player isn’t intending to cut short his loan deal in January to get first-team football now that he is fit again.

Instead, the report claims that the player is eager to follow in Tom Rogic’s footsteps at Celtic.

Player may make first-team return in November

The report goes on to claim that the player could ‘feature off the bench sometime in November’ for the first-team.

It will be interesting to see if that should be the case. It is unfair to judge the player has he been limited to so little first-team football for the Hoops.

May have stopped Hoops from dropping points

However, he seems to be a very talented player. Celtic could have done with his attacking abilities in recent weeks, when the Hoops have dropped points in two league games.

Perhaps if Arzani impresses in his suggested substitute appearances, it would be a decent idea to extend the player’s loan deal for another season.

That would give him a chance to show what he can really do over a sustained period of time. The player could still play a key role for the Hoops this season though. However, it will be all about getting him on the pitch right now.

Once he has made his first-team return, then he can start to fight for a first-team place.
