Daniel Arzani has a point to prove at Celtic. The Australian wonderkid featured just once in his opening season of a two-year loan deal at the club. That’s down to a horror injury suffered on his debut at Dens Park back in October.

The 20-year-old ruptured his cruciate ligament in the 5-0 demolition of the relegated side. It was the sour note on a really positive night and meant that Arzani wouldn’t feature again this season. He’s been recovering ever since.

He’ll be like a new signing for Celtic next season.

Where will he fit in?

Arzani can play on the wing or as a playmaker. He has pace, skill and good close control. A recent Daily Record article reported he was likely to be fit for the start of the season and that could be a huge boost to the next Celtic boss.

Celtic are in dire need of some fresh ideas in the final third. The introduction of stars like Arzani and Maryan Shved plus youngsters Ewan Henderson, Mikey Johnston and Karamoko Dembele will add a freshness to our attacking options.

It should also help put pressure on some of our current performers to find consistency. The likes of Odsonne Edouard, Scott Sinclair and Tom Rogic have been good at times this season but none have ever gone on a six week run of consistent displays.
