The date and kick-off time for Celtic’s next meeting with Hearts has been confirmed.

Celtic are sick of the sight of Derek McInnes at this point, having lost twice to him already this season in two top-of-the-table clashes.

Brendan Rodgers’ sudden departure came the day after Celtic’s last trip to Tynecastle, in which just about everything went wrong for the Hoops.

Wilfried Nancy’s first game in charge was an opportunity for the Celts to return to the top of the Premiership table, but that didn’t go to plan either.

And they’ll be hoping to be top of the league by the next time they play at Tynecastle in January.

The media appear to be generating a lot of negativity around Celtic this week, how can fans and the club combat this?

It wasn’t even covered in the highlights, and it wasn’t even really sort of picked up on at all. So the fact that mainstream media, which are always the ones who try and sort of magnify and glorify things.

Celtic’s kick-off time for next clash with Hearts confirmed

As has become a theme for Celtic this season, the timing for this one isn’t ideal.

Due to the recent introduction of European ties in January, this trip to Tynecastle will be sandwiched between the last two matchdays of the Europa League’s league phase.

Hence, the match has to be played on Sunday, January 25th in the new year, at 3PM.

Just as the last two meetings between the sides have been, it will be shown live on Sky Sports.

Nancy’s men will be fresh back from a trip to Bologna on Thursday the 22nd, and will immediately conclude their league phase with a home game against Utrecht.

It’s a quick turnaround from the sides’ last meeting, and of course, this will be the last Celtic-Hearts league fixture before the split at the end of April.

Fingers crossed, Nancy has a few January recruits in the door by then – but knowing Celtic, don’t hedge your bets,

After Ryan Stevenson’s personal attack on Nancy, it would be sweet to see the Hoops boss get one over on the ex-Hearts striker next time around.
