Former Celtic boss Davie Hay has revealed that he hopes that Celtic do not sell Tom Rogic this summer. The midfielder has been linked with a move to Zenit St Petersburg, with reports that they are planning a £9 million bid for the player.
However, Hay hopes that the player stays at the Hoops to help in the campaign for nine in a row.
“I’ve a feeling that Rogic isn’t going anywhere” Hay said, as reported by the Evening Times.

“The man for the biggest occasion”
“There is nobody else at Celtic like Rogic. He’s the man for the biggest occasion. Celtic don’t need to sell. The players doesn’t need to go.”
It is understandable why Hay is eager for the Hoops to keep hold of Rogic. As the former Hoops manager says, Rogic is unlike any other player at Celtic.

His ability to find a pass and control on the ball is unmatched at Celtic Park, and possibly in Scottish football overall.
Struggled to make impact last season

However, he wasn’t at his best last season. A combination of injuries and international duty hampered his season.
Therefore, Neil Lennon might decide that now is the right time to cash in on the player. The Hoops would want more than £9 million for the player though.
If the bid was upped to around £12 million, it would not be a surprised if the bid was accepted.
