Read More"Definition of a legend"; potential Celtic captain Christopher Jullien pays tribute to Scott Brown
Christopher Jullien has joined the chorus of applause for Celtic captain Scott Brown.
As you’ll know by now, Brown is heading for Aberdeen in the summer. There, he’ll team up with Stephen Glass, who Broony played with at Hibs.
Drawing the curtain on his Celtic career can’t have been easy for Scott Brown, but ultimately it’s the best move for all parties. That doesn’t mean his teammates won’t be sad about it, though.
On Twitter, Jullien expressed his respect for the long-tenured Celtic captain, who has made over 600 appearances for the Bhoys.
Jullien tweeted:
Définition of a Legend : This guy @ScottBrown8
Mate it was trully an honour to share the pitch with you. Wish you all the best 🙏🏽#TrueLegend 🍀#Respect #thankyoubroony pic.twitter.com/H62MaL563M— Chris Jullien.. (@Chri6ViF) March 26, 2021

Next Celtic captain? Christopher Jullien is an interesting shout in the post-Scott Brown Celtic landscape
While it seems inevitable that Callum McGregor will be the next Celtic captain, Jullien has proven himself as an influential character.
The big Frenchman has been instrumental in huge victories for Celtic. The 2019 Betfred Cup Final, the two ties against Lazio and important 19-20 league wins spring to mind. So, is there a chance the loveable defender could step up in a leadership sense?
Jullien is never one to hide his emotions. The more understated McGregor could benefit from the ex-Toulouse man’s outwardness, his obvious passion and his love of the club. Especially if Kris Ajer is to depart in the summer, something that seems like an increasingly inevitable situation.
The centre-back will definitely have learned leadership skills from the iconic no.8. He was a little sheepish in his first games for Celtic, but subsequently grabbed life in Scottish football by the scruff of the neck. If he’d been able to achieve a sustained period of fitness this season, the Bhoys’ defence would no doubt have been stronger.
It’s something to consider, as Brown nears his departure from the club.
