Celtic goalkeeper Ross Doohan has completed a permanent move to English League Two side Tranmere Rovers.
The 24-year-old shot-stopper came through the Lennoxtown academy and featured for the Bhoys during several pre-season camps.
The majority of Doohan’s early career has been spent away from Celtic out on loan in both the Scottish and English leagues.

Over the last six seasons, the majority of his time away have been in Scotland with the likes of Greenock Morton, Ayr United, Ross County and Dundee United.
During his emergency loan at Tannadice, the Scotland under-21 internationalist caught the eye of former United boss Micky Mellon, who is now manager at Tranmere Rovers.
Last season, Mellon brought Doohan to the club on loan, where he regularly featured as Tranmere finished just outside the play-off spots in League Two.
The Scottish coach has once again shown his willingness to bring the talented goalkeeper to his club, signing Doohan for the third time as his permanent move to Rovers was announced this evening.
Speaking to the club’s official website for the first time, Doohan explained why he made the move back to Prenton Park after hearing of their interest again this summer.
He said [Tranmere Rovers]: “I’m really pleased to get it all sorted now. I really enjoyed it here last season, so I feel this is a great step in my career.
“I know how the club works and the stature of it with the training facilities, the stadium and the fan base. Having a great relationship with the Gaffer and with Joe Murphy was another big factor for me.
“I didn’t take much convincing at all; as soon as I heard that there was interest, I wanted to come back. I can’t wait to get going again.”
The right time for Doohan to move on
Although Doohan was a talented goalkeeper who had come through the ranks, this summer was the correct time for him to move on.
The youngster did return to the club this summer and was one of five goalkeepers training with Stevie Woods at Lennoxtown.

However, the arrival of Ben Siegrist and development of Tobi Oluwayemi has put Doohan way down the pecking order under Ange Postecoglou.
It would have been nice to see his journey through the ranks at Celtic end with him becoming a regular first-team player for the club.
But, that wasn’t to be the case, and hopefully, we have set him up well for his career. We wish him all the best for the future!
