Rangers fans have had one big collective meltdown since their defeat to Celtic in the Premier Sports Cup Final last weekend.
It was a dramatic Hampden finale which ended 3-3 after extra-time and then the Hoops had the nerve to win the penalty shootout 5-4.
It might have been different had referee John Beaton awarded Gers a penalty for a Liam Scales foul on Vaclav Cerny which VAR, at the time, adjudged to have happened outside the box.
Referee chief Willie Collum explained it was a wrong decision and should have been a spot-kick in the aftermath of the action as Ibrox punters moaned and complained through their tears.
And Collum slaughtered the Celtic vs Rangers VAR team for the call.
But the game is now over and the trophy well and truly settled inside Celtic Park.
That fact, however, has not sat well with Derek Ferguson or any other Rangers fan for that matter but it was the former midfielder who had a meltdown on Open Goal’s Right in the Coupon podcast.
Ferguson was still livid more than four days removed from the game and he made his frustrations known with the VAR team who made the call.
What Derek Ferguson said about Rangers’ penalty demands vs Celtic
“What were they doing, man? Come on,” Ferguson snapped.
Asked if he was shouting for the penalty in the moment, Ferguson added: “It’s not about shouting and that’s how, you look at John Beaton and you can see his point of view.
“He’s unsure but then that’s where VAR… that’s what they’re there for! The two of them are sitting at their screens so any incident round about the box, they should be looking right away.
“It’s a foul, it’s in the box, it’s a penalty. So what were they doing?!
“Were they turning round having a Christmas party? Pulling each other’s crackers?
“What were they doing to each other? It’s quite embarrassing for them.”

Celtic stars want to get on with their season after the controversy
Celtic’s stars were asked about the penalty incident after the game and Anthony Ralston insisted the Hoops have barely given it a second thought.
Paulo Bernardo also brushed off the Rangers ‘penalty’ moans and urged everyone to get on with the season.
Celts travel to Tannadice this coming weekend to do just that against Dundee United.
The Arabs’ boss, Jim Goodwin, was full of praise for Celts and labelled their quality “obscene” following the cup final win.
