Hearts boss Derek McInnes has admitted that a Celtic coach left him rattled after Benjamin Nygren’s goal at Tynecastle.

We told how McInnes rushed the Celtic bench after Nygren’s free-kick put the Hoops 1-0 up early in the top-of-the-table clash in Edinburgh.

The Hearts boss appeared upset at something that had happened in goal celebration as Celtic eventually played out a Tynecastle draw.

The game itself was packed with controversy as Celtic defender Auston Trusty was sent off in a decision that helped Hearts earn a draw.

But it was McInnes who spat the dummy at Celtic’s opener, and here, the Hearts boss explains why he was left rattled near the Hoops dugout.

‘Inexperienced’ Celtic coach annoyed Hearts boss McInnes

The pressure leading up to the game clearly got to McInnes because after Celtic took the lead, the Hearts manager clearly didn’t like it.

And here, McInnes tells Sky Sports why he reacted the way he did, “Yeah, just one of their kind of inexperienced coaches.

“I didn’t like his reaction to scoring the goal. Nothing to do with Shaun or Martin, just a poor reaction.”

It doesn’t take a genius to work out who McInnes was referring to and this particular coach has been excellent since returning to Celtic the second time around.

For an experienced manager, he's easily rattled.

McInnes’ hypocrisy laid bare as Celtic coach annoys Hearts boss

It appears that McInnes likes to dish it out, but can’t take it when some stick is given back. How do we know this?

Well, the Hearts manager’s attempt at trolling Celtic’s players before the kick-off tells you that McInnes enjoys trying to get in people’s heads with his petulant pre-match behaviour.

It clearly didn’t work as Celtic took command of the game to take an early lead. What is likely to have happened is that the coach McInnes is referring to, saw the Tynecastle boss’ behaviour before the game and decided to give a little back.

Some people should not dish out the stick if they can’t take it in return, right?
