Derek McInnes and Hearts continue to rule the roost after recording another win, this time against Rangers.
Hearts were able to extend their lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership while Celtic were playing Aberdeen as they beat Rangers 2-1.
It means that they will almost certainly head into 2026 ahead of the Hoops, with Wilfried Nancy’s side facing a real mountain to climb if they want to retain the title.
Title talk has been played down by those at the Jambos, but even they’re surely considering themselves as genuine contenders?

Derek McInnes praises Hearts side after Rangers win.
After a brief wobble before the fixture between Celtic and Hearts at Parkhead, the Jambos were called into question by some experts, who felt they didn’t have the nerve.
However, McInnes has never doubted the mentality of his side and knew that they were going to get the three points.
Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, McInnes said: “Once again, we’ve turned up for a big game. Sometimes that’s the first question that people are always quick to ask, ‘can they do it when it matters’ – I actually think we’ve been doing the big games really, really well.
“I’m not as surprised, I expected us to win today, but I expected it to be tough and it was tough.”
