'Desperate', 'Dearie me': Some Celtic fans mock Scottish FA after strange Rangers post

Some Celtic fans have taken issue with the Scottish FA’s official Scottish Cup account highlighting Craig Gordon’s efforts in a 4-0 win over Rangers in 2018.

Brendan Rodgers’ Bhoys ruthlessly and brilliantly destroyed a terrible Rangers side two years ago this month in a semi-final at Hampden, one of the major steps on the way to another domestic treble.

Gordon did make one or two brilliant saves in the match but only after the likes of Tom Rogic and Callum McGregor had clinically sent the Hoops on the path to victory.

Our opponents also found themselves with a man sent off.

Strange then they’d use their social media platform to highlight effectively meaningless saves in a match which ended in a rout for Celtic.

It is, however, always amusing to witness Alfredo Morelos miss a number of sitters in a derby match.

Perhaps it would have been a bit better for the social media team to highlight some of Celtic’s other excellent play on the day, such as Moussa Dembele’s ridiculously cheeky Panenka penalty.

Some fans feel it’s all in service of making the match look closer than it actually was, with dozens of supporters taking to the platform to mock the SFA account…
