Celtic are heading into the busiest period of the fixture calendar in good form in the Scottish Premiership and the Champions League.
Celtic are currently four points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership table after the Bhoys thrashed Ross County at the weekend and Aberdeen dropped points against Hearts.
Brendan Rodgers’ team are also going great guns in the Champions League after the Hoops’ draw against Club Brugge leaves them sitting nicely in the play-off places just one point behind the seeded places.
Celtic sits in 20th place with eight points in UEFA’s Champions League table remarkably just two points from automatic qualification with their next opponents, Dinamo Zagreb just one point behind.
However, the Croatians are not enjoying the best of times recently as their latest result compounds a miserable run of fixtures as Zagreb’s domestic season starts to unravel.
Stunning goal confines Dinamo Zagreb to another defeat ahead of difficult Champions League test vs Celtic
Zagreb suffered another defeat to former Rangers midfielder, Genaro Gattuso’s Hajduk Split at the weekend as the reigning Croatian champions went down 1-0 away.
A stunning 55th-minute strike by Niko Sigur was enough to consign Zagreb to their fourth defeat of the season leaving them languishing in third place in the league seven points behind Gattuso’s side.
The latest defeat takes Zagreb’s winless run to four games now after losing to Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League and drawing with Rejika and Gorica in their previous two league matches.
Dinamo Zagreb’s difficult season continues ahead of Champions League fixture vs Celtic
The Croatians have scored 30 goals in the league this season but have conceded 18 as they struggle to defend their title.

Zagreb’s next fixture before facing Celtic is against mid-table Slaven Belupo as boss Nenad Bjelica looks to get their season back on track.
In the Champions League, the Croats are doing well but have suffered heavy defeats to Bayern Munich (9-2) and Borussia Dortmund (0-3) as well as beating Slovan Bratislava (1-4) and RB Salzburg (0-2) and drawing with Monaco (2-2).
Zagreb will present Celtic with a stern test but if Brendan Rodgers can negotiate a positive result, then it will really put the Hoops right in contention for the seeded play-off places.
