It’s fair to say that plenty of Celtic fans are intrigued by the prospect of Jordan Larsson at Parkhead.

Larsson’s first experience of a football stadium was Parkhead as his legendary father wrote the script on how to be the perfect striker in Glasgow. Indeed, Larsson Sr needs no introduction.

Jordan, however, has been ensuring plenty are getting to know him in recent times. This season, he’s been in decent form for Spartak Moscow with eight goals in 19 appearances (Transfermarkt).

This comes after successful spells in his homeland with Norkopping and Helsingborgs respectively. At just 23, Larsson is showing plenty of potential. So much so that he’s been eyed up by the Swedish national team too.

Jordan has bagged himself five senior caps for the Swedish national team – one of which seeing him net against Moldova.

Larsson Jr for Celtic? Why not

Spartak Moscow yesterday posted a class video on their Twitter page. They showed several of Henrik’s goals alongside similar strikes scored by Larsson Jr. It was a classy vid, and one that caught the attention of Celtic fans.

The young Swede has recently come out and admitted his ambition to one day play for the Hoops (RT). He stated that it would be a “dream” to one day play at Parkhead for the quadruple treble winners.

And it just feels like a match that’s bound to happen at some point. With Larsson slowly building up a reputation as a fine striker on his own, this move could become credible in the near future.

Of course, the 23-year-old was keen to stress that there’s no interest from Celtic or anything like that at the moment. But as a potential future ambition, he admitted it would be “tempting”.

And replying to Moscow’s Twitter video, it appears that plenty of Celtic fans would be excited by the prospect too. Here’s a look at some of the responses to the Russian side’s clip:

In other news, this Aberdeen star’s bold Celtic comments are starting to look embarrassing.
