Famous Israeli agent Dudu Dahan was today spotted at Celtic Park.
Question marks will immediately be raised about the purpose of his presence in Glasgow’s East End this afternoon.
Dahan had a close working relationship with Neil Lennon during the Northern Irishman’s first spell as Parkhead gaffer. Successes like Efe Ambrose, Beram Kayal, and Nir Bitton all came through agent Dahan.
He was also involved in plenty of players to forget, however. The likes of Rami Gershon, Amido Balde, and Stefan Scepovic were also registered with him at the time of joining.

The Daily Record believes that it could be a possibility he was here to discuss contract talks regarding Bitton. Dahan must still be representing the Israeli, and that wouldn’t be a surprise if it was the case.
But if it wasn’t to be that, then it could be a big indication about who Celtic’s next manager could be. Not many may want to think about it, but Lennon could very well also be in discussions with Dahan about a player. It’s hardly inconceivable.
Prep seems underway
Lennon is clearly prepping for the season ahead. He may not be the manager on a permanent basis as it stands, but that hasn’t stopped him. The Hoops boss was in France watching Paris FC vs Valenciennes on a scouting trip last week.
In the past, he’s also touched on the fact he’s been working with Lee Congerton to prepare for the coming season. Lennon is looking at targets, but just how far he’s allowed to go with them will be an interesting one.

Nobody knows for sure why Dahan was at Parkhead outside of the man himself, and possibly Lennon and/or Bitton. As it stands, it’s all rumours at this stage.
Bitton himself has a contract that runs until the summer of 2020. Therefore, with just over a year left on the deal, it’s not unlikely he could be in discussions right enough.
Dahan’s appearance isn’t exactly something that will fill Celtic fans with hope, however. Even his more successful signings never turned out to be huge players for the club. Ambrose became much-maligned, whilst Kayal and Bitton have never been Celtic superstars.
It will be interesting to see if we hear any more from this in the coming days. But it’s certainly raised a few questions to say the least.
