Duffy, Sinclair, Benkovic and Hooper all react on Instagram as Scott Brown goal helps out Celtic
A goal from former Celtic captain Scott Brown at Ibrox last night turned out to be a real help to the Bhoys.
His diving header put Aberdeen 2-0 up on the night and while the home side clawed that back to 2-2, the dropped points ensured Celtic’s win away to Hibernian closed the gap on the league leaders.
Brown was delighted with his goal and after the match took to Instagram to post highlights of his effort, much to the amusement of Celtic fans and a host of former Hoops stars.
Kieran Tierney, Stan Petrov, Filip Benkovic, Gary Hooper, Ryan Christie, Shane Duffy and Scott Sinclair were all amongst those congratulating and enjoying the efforts of the Celtic legend.
Brown’s goal was a terrific finish, with his celebration mocking Alfredo Morelos even better for Celtic supporters checking out the highlights after the match.
Brown and Aberdeen have had a difficult start to the season. Poor results and form had put serious pressure on manager Stephen Glass.
However, the Dons captain will be hoping that a win against Hibs and a draw at Ibrox will be enough to kickstart their season.
As for Celtic, well last night’s result was just the latest evidence that the Bhoys have it in them to push for silverware this season, despite the massive rebuild that occurred over the summer.
Results in the Scottish Premiership are very unpredictable this term. While there are undoubtedly bumps in the road ahead for the Bhoys, we can take confidence from our own recent results. We now have a platform to find consistency over the coming weeks and months, in an effort to put real pressure on Rangers.
