A Dutch commentator has placed his cards on the table and taken a swipe at Celtic by insisting that Feyenoord have nothing to worry about.
Celtic face Feyenoord in the Europa League on Thursday, where both sides come into the fixture after very different results.
Callum McGregor’s stoppage time winner against St Mirren was a welcome boost to the Hoops while Feyenoord lost at home to NEC Nijmegen.
Robin van Persie tore into his players and has demanded big improvements ahead of this week’s encounter at De Kuip.
Despite their latest setback, it sounds as if some Dutch commentators are already becoming complacent.

Dutch commentator doesn’t think much of Celtic
Jeroen Grueter was one of those present for an episode of FC Rijnmond where they were trying to decide if the NEC game was bigger than the game against Celtic.
Two of the panel refused to underestimate the quality of Martin O’Neill’s men, but Grueter completely disagreed and went as far as to say that this was one of the worst Celtic sides he has seen.
Via Fr12.nl, he said: “I don’t understand why Feyenoord would give up the title. They’re having an excellent season, and you can lose to Go Ahead Eagles at some point. You want to be champions, and you have to finish second, so you simply have to beat NEC.
“We can pretend that Celtic are Champions League-level, but that’s absolutely not the case. They’re playing worse than I’ve seen them play in the last 15 years.”

Europa League table debunks Jereon Grueter’s Celtic theory
Grueter may want to take one look at the Europa League table before claiming Celtic are playing that badly.
Yes, the Hoops only have four points, but are still above the Dutch side – albeit only two places higher.
Poll: Rate Celtic’s 2025 out of 10
Feyenoord have three points from four games after beating Panathinaikos but losing to Stuttgart, Aston Villa and Braga.
Pound-for-pound, there really isn’t a lot to separate the two sides and any claims about the Bhoys being a walk in the park should be reconsidered.
