If we are being honest, Celtic’s prospects in Europe look all but over following the 2-0 loss to Valencia. It is now time for the Hoops to forget about the Europa League and concentrate on retaining the league title.
The Hoops return to league action on Sunday with a difficult looking trip to Kilmarnock.
The strongest available side has to be picked for the trip to Rugby Park. That means one player should start his first league game since December – Odsonne Edouard.

The striker has had to deal with niggling fitness issues in the last two months, but he looked back to his best playing 30 minutes against Valencia.

He was one of the few players who looked comfortable on the European stage, and was far more effective than Oliver Burke.
It is time for the Hoops to go back to basics, and stop experimenting with the team. That means Edouard up-front in every game from now on.

His pace and power is a handful for most defences in Scotland. You just need to look at how he dominated Aberdeen in December.
If it hadn’t been for injuries the player might well have scored more than the 14 goals he has done this season.
For the moment, the injury worries look to be over and Edouard is fully fit. And he must be one of the first names on the Hoops team-sheet from now on.
