Emilio Iazguirre looks to have made a good recovery from a recent horror incident, after his club side posted a photo of the former Celtic man on social media.
Izzy’s current employers Motagua took to Twitter on Wednesday to post a nice image of the Honduran international alongside a player from their rivals Olimpia.
The caption “Football yes, war no!” was no also included, as a referance to riots that shamed a recent derby between the two sides.
Three people died last month after violent scenes erupted at a clash between Motagua and Olimpia, with thousands of fans fighting on the pitch.
Former Hoops favourite Izaguirre, 33, was rushed to hospital after suffering shards of glass in his eye. Following the incident, the defender said: (The Herald)
“There were bits of glass that flew into an eye, but I’ve been told it is nothing serious and there is no lasting damage.

“The painful thing for me is the deceased. We are all Hondurans, no matter what team you support, we all must have respect for our fellow human beings.
“Thanks to everyone for all the kind messages I have received.”
Scotland doesn’t have the same problems as some other countries
The event just puts into context some of the trouble we have at games in Scotland. Occasionally, trouble flares at Scottish games with objects thrown at players and supporters entering the playing field. While these incidents are regrettable, they really don’t compare to the mass scale riots you get in countries like Honduras.

For all the chat of Scottish supporters behaving badly, there is very rarely actual trouble in the stands. For example, Swedish side AIK’s fans caused more bother when they came to Glasgow than any Scottish side has in recent years.
Sometimes you wonder if we get a hard press just because it is fashionable to bash football fans.
