Work seems to have gone very quiet on the proposed hotel and museum at Celtic Park.
The club got the go-ahead to start work from Glasgow City Council in late 2017 but have since been quiet on the issue.

The BBC reported that the regeneration would include a hotel, museum, new club store and ticket office and would cost around £18million. The council were said to have passed the plans with no real objections but with one stipulation: work must begin within three years.

Are the plans in doubt?
Almost two years have passed and very little has been said about the plans. It’s almost as if Celtic’s policy has been to keep a radio silence in the hope that nobody remembers what had gone before.
The club’s announcement on Wednesday that they had applied for permission to redevelop Barrowfield raises some questions too. It seems strange that they would choose to start a new project before completing (or even beginning) work at Celtic Park.

Given the fanfare that emerged following the announcement of the new Celtic Park facilities it seems fair that fans are allowed to ask what’s happening. It seems bizarre for the club to go so quiet on the issue. They must look to update supporters in the near future.
