Celtic man Ewan Henderson reckons the remoteness of Dingwall will help him improve his football ability.
The 19-year-old talent joined Ross County on Deadline Day, on a season-long loan. The move is designed to give the youngster a chance to showcase his talents at a good level on a week to week basis.
And he certainly seems like he’s excited to get started, if his comments to the BBC are anything to go by.

Henderson said: “I need the chance to play first-team football and this is the perfect place for me to come to.
“I feel it is a big move, at this stage of my career. I have broken in to the Celtic first team, but obviously there are a lot of players there.
“Dingwall is quite far away from everywhere. You usually come home and do things, but now up here you can focus fully on football which is the best thing for me.”

Henderson has made a good County impression
The exciting prospect had made a good early impression with his new employers too.
Veteran midfielder Michael Gardyne, a former Celtic player himself, says that Henderson made a good start to his first training session.
“I spoke to Ewan on Tuesday morning at his first training session,” he told the North Star. “He trained well.
“He told me he couldn’t wait to go. His attitude is good – he said it was all very well playing reserve games, but he wanted to experience first team action.”

Our view – the kid seems keen
One thing that seems to be evident from those two sets of quotes is that Henderson just wants to get out and play. The midfielder has had to bide his time at Celtic in recent months, playing just two minutes so far this season.
That’s no disgrace given the level of competition in the Celtic midfield, but he’ll still feel he wants to challenge himself more.
County are a side who play good football and, most importantly, are playing in the Premiership. They will face all of the teams that Celtic would normally so Henderson is playing at the correct level for a future at Parkhead.
It will be really interesting to see how he gets on in lonely Dingwall. If his attitude is reflected with his on-field displays then the Ross County faithful will be in for a treat.
