Recently departed Celtic pair Josip Juranovic and Moritz Jenz have met up in Berlin.

The duo were Hoops team-mates this time last year, but both left for varying reasons during the January transfer window.

Jenz, meanwhile, had his loan from French side Lorient cut short around the same time. He’s since gone on to feature for Bundesliga outfits Schalke 04 and Wolfsburg where he currently plays.

Berlin and Wolfsburg are only a matter of hours apart so it’s not really much of a surprise to see the pair meet up, alongside their partners.

Jenz took to his Instagram Stories on Tuesday evening to share the Berlin image, alongside the caption “Fam reunion.”

Juranovic shared the image to his own story soon after. Just like with the meeting of Kieran Tierney and Giorgos Giakoumakis earlier this summer, it seems like they want Celtic fans to know all about it.

And rightfully so. It’s always nice when players’ relationships extend beyond the pitch and after their time in Glasgow.

Juranovic and Jenz will both be remembered fondly for their contributions during a period of Celtic dominance that may still have a way to go.

They may not have stayed for long, but that is the modern way of it. We’ve seen that with the likes of Giakoumakis, Jota and Carl Starfelt recently, as well as some non-playing figures.

The duo are set to meet in the Bundesliga on September 19. Wolfsburg will host Union that day. Jenz is yet to appear for his new side so he has work to do to meet Juranovic on the pitch again.
