Fans, Chris Sutton and John Hartson react as Celtic move seven points clear
It’s been another momentous weekend for Celtic in the quest to win a ninth successive Scottish league title after a 4-1 victory over Hamilton Accies this afternoon.
Rangers dropped more points at home to Aberdeen on Saturday, following on from last week’s defeat to Hearts at Tynecastle.
With the pressure on Neil Lennon’s men to deliver the points away to Accies, Odsonne Edouard and company delivered despite going behind in the match.
The Frenchman scored a superb double to sink the relegation-threatened outfit, with Christopher Jullien and James Forrest also on the scoresheet.
It was Edouard who Chris Sutton paid tribute to after the match, calling his contribution ‘phenomenal’ on Twitter.
Celtic certainly not at their best… big 3 points…Edouard is phenomenal… good substitutions won the game… Hamilton didn’t deserve that… Gogic immense

Another former striker, John Hartson, described it as a ‘great win’, recognising that the reigning champions had to show a bit of spirit to dig out the win.
Great win.. kept going persevering.. finally got the goals.. not always easy but Celtic got it done 3 points. 👍🏻👍🏻🍀

The schedule that Celtic are navigating right now doesn’t get any easier with Lennon’s team back in action on Wednesday night away to Motherwell.
Rangers will host Jack Ross’ Hibernian side at Ibrox.
While it’s a gruelling gauntlet for the players, at the moment every matchday feels like an opportunity to pull further ahead of Steven Gerrard’s team given their middling form.
Fans were obviously delighted to open the gap up over our rivals, taking to Twitter to share their own thoughts on the win…
3 big points that’s all it matters 🍀🍀🍀
