Celtic fans have flocked to a Kyogo Furuhashi tweet, after he was subbed off early against China.

On the 51st minute, Kyogo went down with what looked like a knee injury. Given his hot start to life at Celtic, scoring 7 goals in 9 games, it would be horrendous luck if the striker picked something up long-term.

That doesn’t necessarily look to be the case. He walked unassisted after receiving initial treatment. However, it’s a worry nonetheless, and Ange Postecoglou will be anxious to hear if he’s alright.

As will Celtic supporters. Kyogo offered some encouragement by tweeting his happiness about Japan’s 1-0 win [Kyodo News]. The Celtic forward started on the left of an attacking three, like he has done for the Bhoys.

Kyogo tweeted:

Although Celtic have brought in Jota and Giakoumakis to bolster the attack, Kyogo has been central to the mini resurgence under Postecoglou. Undoubtedly the boss’ marquee signing, the former Vissel Kobe man is already a fan favourite.

So, it was no surprise that supporters have rushed to ask Kyogo if he’s doing alright.
