Simon Jordan has made it clear that Celtic are a ‘far better club’ on the pitch than Rangers amid talk of Graham Potter replacing Michael Beale.
Former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy stated that Graham Potter would be ‘perfect’ for Rangers, but Simon Jordan was in no doubt when he replied: ‘I guarantee he won’t go there’.
It was put to the former Crystal Palace owner that Brendan Rodgers returned to Celtic this summer.
But the English businessman was also keen to point out that Celtic are in a ‘completely different position than Rangers’, as well as being ‘a far better club on the field’, as he told talkSPORT.
Despite those comments, Danny Murphy was still trying to suggest that ‘the gap ain’t that big’ between the Glasgow duo.
Well, perhaps someone needs to point Danny Murphy towards the Treble? It can’t really get bigger than that on the domestic scene, can it?

Rangers’ Graham Potter talk
“They have to go with someone who is more experienced,” said Murphy. “Someone who is willing to stay there and create something. Potter would be perfect.”
“He is not going to go there,” responded Jordan. “Guaranteed Potter won’t go there. It’s not the rebuild mechanism he would be wise deploying.
“It’s still not a club that managers on a certain trajectory will feel that there is a necessity to go to. If you are looking at Rangers and you are looking at Celtic and the reasons why Brendan Rodgers went back.
“First of all, Celtic are in a completely different position than Rangers. They are a far better club on the field than Rangers.
Danny Murphy then interrupted ‘the gap ain’t that big’ to which Jordan responded: “It’s miles. It’s miles.”

Celtic can sit back and relax
Only a Harry Potter spell would lure Graham Potter to Ibrox, so they better quickly forget about that one.
And whilst Rangers have spent the millions, the gap hasn’t got any closer, in fact, wider.
But Celtic and Brendan himself are concentrating on themselves and racking up those trophies again because the early signs in his second spell are looking very good.
