Celtic defender Filip Benkovic should be rubbing his hands together at the current Leicester City situation.
His parent club have just sacked manager Claude Puel and have signed Brendan Rodgers.
Without a doubt his chances of playing Premier League football are boosted.
Rodgers can help Benkovic reach the top
The former Celtic boss has helped the Croatian international’s development in Scotland.
He was without a doubt the Irishman’s first-choice centre-back and a firm fan favourite.

As Rodgers is the next Leicester boss, then it is foreseeable that he would continue to back him in England.
The 21-year-old didn’t get to make an immediate impression with the Foxes since joining from Dinamo Zagreb.
He was loaned out to the Scottish Premiership champions where he was a stalwart before getting a lengthy injury.
Amid reports of a Leicester injury scare, fans thought he would return to his parent club in January.
However, Puel eased minds by saying Benkovic will stay in Scotland.

By Rodgers taking the reins, the defender can get his opportunity to reach the top and show the world what Celtic fans have been raving about this season.
Celtic return possible for Filip?
Another positive of the current situation is that Benkovic could return for another spell with The Bhoys.
Rodgers may think his development could continue in Glasgow and keep him there for another year.

The defender wants a return to the Premier League and he will get the best chance available to show his worth.
Post injury, the Croatian must continue his stellar Celtic form to show what he can do for his new manager.
This will mean the chances of him downing tools or taking a break towards the end of the season is slim.
Benkovic will not believe his luck with the appointment.
