Finally a bit of positive injury news out of Celtic
Celtic youngster Karamoko Dembele is set to be involved in training with the first team next week when players return to Lennoxtown, Football Scotland reports.
Dembele has been out of action since pre-season when he broke his ankle from a horrendous Bristol City tackle. Since then he’s undergone surgery and had a long period of rehabilitation.
However, Football Scotland reports he’s been training on his own over the last week building his fitness and will take part in team training from next week.
Karamoko Dembele can still impress at Celtic
That’s a full two weeks ahead of schedule, say the outlet, suggesting the process for his return is going well.
Dembele remains a much-hyped figure amongst the Celtic support, many of whom are desperate to see what he can do in the team on a consistent basis.
With players such as Mikey Johnston and Owen Moffat getting game time in recent weeks, there’s definitely a chance we will see more of the youngster in the new year.
However, his contract is coming to an end and the club needs to figure out if he has a long-term future at Celtic, and if he even wants one.
This is a bit of good news for Celtic on the injury front though, after what seems like months of only blow after blow.
Hopefully, the tricky attacker can impress Ange Postecoglou.
