"Finally"; Real Betis send class message to Celtic
Celtic Europa League opponents Real Betis have sent a class message to the Bhoys ahead of the two teams meeting in the competition this season.
Ange Postecoglou’s team play Betis, Bayer Leverkusen and Ferencvaros in Group G, hoping to make it to the knockout stages.
Betis already have a friendly relationship with the club and they seem absolutely thrilled to finally be playing Celtic in a competitive fixture.
They said on Twitter: “Stripes vs Hoops. This match is finally happening! Looking forward to seeing you on the pitch and celebrate together with all the Bhoys and Ghirls! See you soon, Celtic!”
Betis are one of the biggest clubs in Spain and can boast a 60,000 home crowd, just like Celtic.
They finished sixth in La Liga last term, one point behind Real Sociedad.

This will be their first time in the Europa League since the 2018/19 season when they made the Round of 32 before being knocked out by former Celtic foes Rennes.
I’m expecting two exciting, open matches home and away. I’m certainly not ruling Celtic out of picking up results either, even if it will be difficult.
With Bayer Leverkusen likely favourites to progress as group winners, the second spot could well come down to who gets the better of this double-header.
The Autumn schedule of matches is now complete for the Bhoys and it’s going to be a very exciting few months that tells us a lot about where the Ange Postecoglou project is going.
I can’t wait.
