Footage shows how Bodo/Glimt players instantly reacted to Celtic draw; midfielder speaks
The video shows a rather excited ripple of applause going around the room as they watch from their training ground in Norway which you can see via this link.
Midfielder Ulrik Saltnes, who has made over 240 appearances for the club, told TV2: “It is a good draw for us. It’s a fun away game at a cool stadium, and another big club coming to Aspmyra. It will be a wonderful experience!”
Celtic will take on the Norwegian champions at home on February 17th before travelling abroad a week later.
There are positives and negatives to the draw For Celtic. While Bodo/Glimt will fancy their chances, they will also come up against Celtic in their off-season, with the Bhoys in the midst of a run of fixtures.
That could play into the hands of Ange Postecoglou and the intense manner in which Celtic like to play their football.
It will also likely be an open, expansive game of football with Bodo/Glimt unafraid to show their attacking intent, much like Celtic.
It’s already clear they will relish the experience of a big European night at Celtic Park. Hopefully, the club can price it appropriately, get the stands rocking and give our players a big boost.
