Out of many former Celtic players, Efe Ambrose has to be up there as a favourite amongst many of the fans but for very differing reasons.
Ambrose was a cult hero amongst the Celtic fans because despite not being the best defender during his time at the club, he was an honest pro who gave his all for the cause.
After leaving Celtic in 2017, Ambrose had had spells at Hibs, Derby County, Livingston, St Johnstone, Dunfermline, Queen of the South and Bury.
And now, at 35 Ambrose has joined the13th club of his career.
Ambrose signs for seventh-tier English side
Just this week Ambrose signed a deal to continue his remarkable playing career and now he will ply his trade at Workington AFC after leaving Bury no less than four day ago.
Ambrose started his career at Kaduna United in the Nigerian National League. He enjoyed four years at the club and had short loan spell at Baysela United where he won the league title before joining FC Ashdod in 2010.
Signed by Neil Lennon on a three-year deal from Ashdod in 2012, Efe Ambrose made 169 appearances for Celtic scoring six goals and creating ten as he picked up four league titles, one League Cup and a Scottish Cup in four years at the club.

And let’s not forget, Ambrose was part of the famous Celtic team that beat Lionel Messi’s Barcelona 2-1 at Celtic Park in the Champions League in 2012.
The former Nigeria international also won the African Cup of Nations during a career that has now spanned almost 20 years.
And now that he is embarking on another chapter in his career, Ambrose has been sent multiple messages by the Celtic fans wishing him good luck on the move.
67 Hail Hail would like to wish Efe all the best and hope to see his trademark back flip real soon.
