Former Celtic defender Efe Ambrose’s Livingston debut certainly went down well with some viewers.
Ambrose, who spent four years at Parkhead, signed for Livingston last week as he joined his third club in Scotland after a stint with Hibs.

And it was indeed the Easter Road side he made his Livi debut against yesterday. Ambrose played the full 90 against Jack Ross’ side to help secure a 1-1 draw for his new employers.
Here’s a look at some of the reaction to his overall display, with many impressed by what they saw from the Nigerian:

Ambrose putting in a shift shouldn’t surprise anyone
It should be no surprise to see Ambrose putting in a fine performance in his Livingston debut. He’s got more than enough attributes to compete at this level.
People have to remember that Efe has won four Premiership titles, a League Cup, and a Scottish Cup in Scotland. This isn’t a level of football he struggles with, and he proved that during his time at Hibs too as he became a constant in their first-team squad with 86 appearances (Transfermarkt).
It was reported at the start of the year that Ambrose had been keeping himself fit during his time without a club. The Daily Record reported that the Nigerian had been training with his hometown club back home to keep his levels up.

Therefore, it’s hardly bewildering as to how he stepped back into Scotland and helped shut out Hibs. He won’t need a lot of work to get up to speed, and that perhaps doesn’t bode well for us in a couple of weeks either.
Celtic visit the Tony Macaroni Arena in what is looking more and more like a total headache of a fixture on March 4th. You can just see an Ambrose masterclass performance given his previous displays against us for Hibs. Remember, Ambrose only lost three out of seven meetings against Celtic during his time in the capital.
How the likes of Aberdeen, Motherwell, or Kilmarnock didn’t make moves for him is bizarre. He’ll prove to be a success in West Lothian, and his display yesterday is a sign of that.
