Former Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon appears to have suffered a severe leg injury this afternoon after an incident in the match between Dundee United and Hearts at Tannadice.
Gordon, who plays for the Tynecastle club, collided at speed with United forward Steven Fletcher in the second half of the 2-2 draw and had to be stretchered off.
Photos of the collision have been circulating online and it’s easy to surmise he’s suffered a broken leg that will keep him out for a very lengthy period of time.

“He’s away up to hospital, it’s not looking great,” Hearts boss Robbie Neilson told BBC Radio Scotland. “I’m devastated for him but he’ll get through it. The big man’s a warrior and we’ll just help him through it and we’ll see where we are in the next couple of days.”
Now 39, it’ll be a momentous comeback if the veteran does manage to play again. There is no official word yet from Hearts on the extent of the issue, though the pictures speak for themselves.
Gordon served the Bhoys with distinction during a remarkably successful six-year stint, where he made 242 appearances in total and won a massive 12 trophies.
The highlight of his time at Celtic Park was undoubtedly the 2016/17 season where he was a vitally important number one under Brendan Rodgers.
Footage of his celebration as Tom Rogic scored the Scottish Cup winner against Aberdeen at Hampden became iconic and very fondly remembered by Celtic supporters everywhere.
Although the relationship between some Celtic fans and Gordon has cooled in recent years owing to his Hearts status, undoubtedly he left a strong legacy at the club and will be regarded as a huge former player in the years to come.
It’s not nice at all to see him suffer an injury of this nature and everyone at 67 Hail Hail wishes him all the best with his recovery and the road ahead.
