Reported Celtic midfield target Christopher Scott has agreed a move to Belgian league side Royal Antwerp.
The former Bayern Munich youngster was first linked to the Hoops back in March, with reports suggesting that he had held talks with the club.
The German giants wanted to keep the 20-year-old at the club. However, Scott was thought to be keen on leaving Bayern this summer.
In order to earn a fee for the academy player, the Bundesliga side took up the option to extend the player’s contract by a further year. But, the German under-19 internationalist’s stance remained the same.
Along with Celtic, clubs from Germany were also quoted with interest in bringing Christopher Scott to the club.
The attacking midfielder has put an end to any of those suggestions, joining Belgian side Royal Antwerp on a four-year deal.
Although the Bhoys held initial talks with Scott, Sky Sports Germany confirmed that was as far as any negotiations went, with both parties seemingly moving on from that option.
The Hoops are on the hunt for another midfielder this summer after the exit of long-serving duo Nir Bitton and Tom Rogic.
But, Postecoglou doesn’t appear to be on the lookout for a more attack-minded midfield player, with recent links hinting towards defensive midfield options such as Vinicius Souza.

If Celtic could have picked Scott up on a cheap deal whilst his contract was set to expire, it would have been seen as a smart piece of business at a bargain price.
However, after Bayern extended his contract, a potential higher fee may have been involved, and Ange Postecoglou will likely be looking to spend that money in more important areas across the squad.
