Ewan Henderson was a highly-rated talent in the Celtic youth ranks and stayed with the club until 2022 before moving to Hibernian.
The 24-year-old came through Lennoxtown a few years after his brother Liam did the same; however, he could only manage 11 senior appearances, registering one goal and three assists in total [Transfermarkt].
Enjoying loan spells at Ross County, Dunfermline Athletic and Hibernian ahead of signing at Easter Road permanently. Last term, he enjoyed a stint at KV Oostende, finding his groove with seven strikes in 30 outings.
Despite being a valuable squad player over the last couple of years, Henderson hasn’t fully established himself in Edinburgh despite his capabilities and has now moved on to an exciting new venture in mainland Europe.

Per Hibernian FC’s official website, Henderson has returned to Belgium, this time with Antwerp-based outfit Beerschot on a permanent transfer, subject to work permit approval.
David Gray’s side will receive an undisclosed six-figure sum for his services and have inserted a sell-on clause into the agreement, allowing him to take up a new challenge after two-and-a-half years in the capital.
Henderson appears to have found a sweet spot in Belgium to kickstart his career. His brother Liam has enjoyed success on Italian soil, showing there is light at the end of the tunnel even if you don’t become an established Celtic player.
Hoops supporters will remember the former Scotland Under-21 international as a bright youngster who delivered flashes amid his limited involvement in the senior side, and many would’ve liked to have seen more of him while he was at Parkhead.
