The transfer window is closed but that doesn’t mean an end to moves whether it’s current or former Celtic players.
The free agent market is one where clubs could find themselves a gem or two as managers and chief executives try and stick to stringent budgets or even meet FFP regulations.
And it seems that one former Celtic academy starlet has done just that after being released from his contract at the end of last season.
Josh Adam finds new club after Man City release
Josh Adam left Celtic in August 2020 and signed for Man City on a four-year deal. Despite not making a single appearance for City’s first team, the former Celtic youngster did make 99 appearances in total from U18 to U21 level.
During his time, Adam scored 18 goals and created 12 assists and the versatile youngster was deployed in the central and attacking midfield areas as well as on the flanks and up front as a centre forward.
However, at the end of his contract last season, Adam was released and spent the summer looking for a new club.
Having spent time on trial at Wrexham, the Welsh-based EFL club has decided to sign Adam on a permanent contract until the end of next season with the option to extend for a further year should he impress.

Speaking to Wreham’s official website, Adam said, “It’s really exciting to get it over the line. I’m excited to get started and get going.
“They have been tough sessions while I’ve been here on trial – the gaffer’s had us working hard – but the boys have all been brilliant and I’ve got to know a lot of them.
“I’d say I’m a very technical player, I like to get on the ball a lot and make things happen. I’ve had some of the best coaches and best team-mates at academy level, they’ve helped me to grow a lot and it’s challenged me, and now the next step is to get into the men’s game.”
Adam won two U18 Premier League titles and two Premier League 2 titles during his time at Man City and will be hoping to help guide Wrexham from League One into the Championship this season.
