Former Celtic winger Lewis Morgan is winning plaudits from some fans at Inter Miami already, despite playing just twice for his new outfit since leaving Scotland.

The MLS season has only just kicked off, with Morgan taking part from the start of both of Miami’s away defeats so far.

Despite the disappointing beginning to their season, Morgan’s new club are feeling good about their new signing, publishing an article on their official website this week talking up the winger’s contribution.

Noting his productive attacking output, the article also highlights Morgan’s work rate, defensive prowess and ability to play on either flank.

Morgan provided the club’s first-ever assist in MLS during the weekend’s encounter away to DC United, finding Mexican international Rodolfo Pizarro with a low cross.

The Scotland international left Celtic during the January transfer window after failing to win a regular starting spot in either Brendan Rodgers’ or Neil Lennon’s team.

Although clearly not quite at the standard required at Celtic, it’s pleasing to hear he is settling well into his new life across the Atlantic.

Further confirming his bright start in America, these Inter Miami fans have taken to Twitter this week to share their thoughts on his initial appearances…
