Former Rangers star Colin Hendry has decided to go full-on anti-Celtic as he made a laughable claim regarding 10-in-a-row.
In the past, the likes of Dave King have been dismissive of the Hoops getting 10-in-a-row because Rangers weren’t in the league for most of them. That’s despite the fact Rangers were kicked out of the top division for their own financial mismanagement.
The Hoops are just four points from winning their eighth consecutive title. That means the Hoops will be just two league titles away from a first in Scottish football.

But former Scotland and Rangers star Hendry has decided to back up the claim Celtic can’t truly win the 10. He spoke to Rangers fan podcast Heart and Hand via Football Scotland, and seems to have been sucked into the pro-Rangers delusion. Here’s what he had to say on a potential 10th Celtic title in a row.
“Everybody suffered (with Rangers’ demise). Celtic suffered because they don’t have an Old Firm game to play and irrespective of them achieving what they are going to achieve, it’s not fully achieved because Rangers weren’t there for several years.
“So you can argue it until the cows come home but the fact is that Rangers were not in that league when they did win so they are talking about their treble trebles or their nine and ten-in-a-row, to all of us outside of Celtic it’s not really what it is.”
These kinds of words will make 10 all the sweeter
Would you honestly have expected much else from someone like Hendry? He’s clearly yet another one who’s been hurting over the years of unprecedented Celtic success.
The best part is the fact that he talks about “talking about their treble trebles”. All of Celtic’s trebles in recent years will have been won when Rangers were indeed part of the league. Are we going to start talking about putting asterisks on trophies Rangers were now involved in? Perhaps because they offered no resistance to Celtic that makes it not count?

At this point, it’s difficult to look into the minds of Rangers fans and get an understanding of their thoughts on our dominance. It’s at the point now where they seem to just want to call everything that we win tainted.
Celtic, of course, still have some work to do before 10-in-a-row is won. We’re making hard enough work of wrapping up number eight, when we should be stripping any hope Rangers fans have of challenging next season.
But it remains fun watching ex-Rangers players like Hendry explode with rage. The “we wurny in it so it doesny count” brigade remain out in force. But, apparently, our tainted success is stretching to tournaments they were actually involved in.
10-in-a-row will do crazy things to them.
