The Scottish Sun has disclosed the valuation of the Celtic squad in the Football Manager 2021 game which has recently been released.

Four Celtic players are reckoned to be worth eight-figures. Those players are Odsonne Edouard who is rated at £17.75m, Shane Duffy, who is rated at £14m, James Forrest, who is rated at £13.75m and Callum McGregor, who is rated at £12.25m.

One valuation is a bit of a surprise

Now, the presence of Edouard, Forrest and McGregor in the top valued player isn’t much of a surprise. Those three have been excellent for Celtic for years. However, the presence of Shane Duffy is a bit of a shock. No disrespect to Duffy, but he has struggled since arriving at Celtic Park.

Rather hilariously though, Duffy is rated has being worth more than any Rangers player that features in the game. The highest valued Ibrox player is Alfredo Morelos at £13.25m.

There are some Celtic players that might feel harshly treated about their valuation in the game. For example, Kristoffer Ajer and Christopher Jullien are both valued at £5.75m. That seems to be a bit on the low side.

The same is true of Mikey Johnston and Patryk Klimala, both of whom are valued the lowest of all the Celtic players that feature in the game, at only £245k. That can only be considered an insult.

Poor old Scott Brown might not be happy with his valuation either, at only £900k. However, he is likely the sort of guy that won’t take this sort of thing seriously.

Mo Elyounoussi is rated at just under £10m at £9.75m, which seems a tad low, whilst Leigh Griffiths and Tom Rogic will be pleased with their £7.25, valuation.

One wonders if the Celtic players will discuss this in the dressing room. You would think that the players might have a laugh about it. Others might legitimately get annoyed about how little they are worth.

In other news, Celtic are having to close their club shops due to lockdown rules.
