The Champions League draw is upon Celtic and all the attention over the next few hours will be about who Brendan Rodgers will get in the group stages.

Celtic are in pot three after the last of all 36 teams booked their places in the big draw last night and the excitement will be building to see if the Hoops will get any glamour ties.

In Pot 1, Celtic could be drawn against Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool, Inter Milan, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig and Barcelona.

Pot 2 throws up the likes of Bayer Leverkusen, Atletico Madrid, Atalanta, Juventus, Benfica, Arsenal, Club Brugge, Shakhtar Donetsk and AC Milan.

And in Celtic’s Pot 3 there are Feyenoord, Sporting, PSV Eindhoven, Dinamo Zagreb, Salzburg, Lille, Crvena Zvedza and Young Boys.

Whilst Pot 4 has Slovan Bratislava, AS Monaco, Sparta Praha, Aston Villa, Bologna, Girona, Stuttgart, Sturm Graz and Stade Brestois.

And speaking about the draw, former Villa man and now pundit Gabby Agbonlahor shares why he would want Celtic and what he loves about watching the Glasgow giants in the big competition.

Aston Villa vs Celtic would be ‘unbelievable’

Agbonlahor has never made any secret of the fact he would like a draw against Celtic but he does admit that the atmosphere the Celtic fans create just blows him away.

Abonlahor told talkSPORT, “I’ve looked at other games like Celtic at home. Aston Villa versus Celtic. That would be unbelievable.

“I couldn’t do Celtic away, I can only do Celtic at weekends.

“I’m looking at games that are winable. I look at Brest, Celtic, Shakhtar, Sporting Lisbon away are all winnable games.

“Do you know what I do like though is that when Celtic play another British team, the atmosphere, I love it.”

The ideal Champions League draw for Celtic

The ideal draw for Celtic depends on whether you want qualification or glamour. For me, I want qualification so this would be my preferred outcome by 5:30pm tonight:

That’s just my take but I’m sure a case could be made for other teams who are beatable that could give Celtic a chance of qualification.

But, to be honest, any draw Celtic get will be difficult. All the fans want to see is the club compete at the highest level and if Brendan Rodgers can add some more new faces to the squad then they will have a chance to do just that.
