Former Celtic coach Garry Parker won’t be joining Neil Lennon’s staff at Celtic Park, according to a report.
The Scottish Sun are reporting that Parker won’t be joining the staff who will be in charge for Lennon’s second spell as Hoops manager.
New coach will reportedly be appointed

The report goes on to claim that a new coach will be appointed but it won’t be Parker, and that John Kennedy will continue as the Hoops’ assistant manager.
Earlier reports had claimed that Lennon has keen to have Parker return to the club as part of his coaching set-up. However, it seems that the pair will not be reunited.

A surprising decision
It is a bit of a surprise that Parker won’t be returning to Celtic Park. He and Lennon have always worked together. They were together at Hibernian and Bolton, not just at Celtic.

Parker was also pictured with Lennon at a West Brom game recently, presumably scouting for players. However, if reports are to be believed Parker’s partnership with Lennon has come to an end.
It will be interesting to see how is appointed as the new coach at the club. Could it mean a return to the club for former fans’ favourite Johan Mjallby?
That would certainly be a popular appointment. Only time will tell on that front. No doubt we shall find out the identity of Lennon’s backroom staff in the days and weeks to come.
