2014 Ryder Cup winner Stephen Gallacher has been showing off his new golf wedges today, and they have a Celtic-themed design to them.
The European Tour golfer was part of Paul McGinley’s Ryder Cup heroes of 2014 as they saw off the USA at Gleneagles with a score of 16-and-a-half to 11-and-a-half.

However, more importantly, Gallacher is a die-hard Celtic supporter. The experienced golfer has never hidden his love for the Hoops in the past, either in public or on social media.
And his latest set of clubs certainly express that support too. In images posted on Twitter, Gallacher has three new clubs each with engravings on them – “HWG10IAR”, “Stevie G” and “Hail Hail”. Have a look for yourself below:

Top stuff from Gallacher
No doubt that’ll be him with a few less followers once the Rangers fans see his new set. Not that he’ll care of course. Bearing in mind the “STEVIE G” engraving is a representation of his own name – not a dig at the Rangers manager……granted there may be a tiny dig in there too.
You’ve got to admire celebrities in other industries who don’t hide their affection for the team they support. Gallacher is an example of a top pro who clearly just likes being himself. Quite right too – it’s an admirable trait.
Gallacher is getting set to take part in the Qatar Masters which starts tomorrow (March 4th). The competition will take place at the Education City Golf Course over a period of four days. We wish him well, especially with his new clubs.

The Scot is also looking to bounce back from a weekend collapse at the Oman Open that saw him finish in T30 with a score of five-under-par. That was despite him leading with a nine-under-par score at the half-way stage.
Hopefully Gallacher can show the same ability to bounce back from setbacks that Celtic have throughout the season!
What do you make of Gallacher’s new clubs? How positive is it to see celebrity supporters show their love for the Hoops? Give us your verdict in the discussion forum below.
